Adam Haffner, son of Leander and Therese Haffner of Sartell, is so proud of the plump pumpkin he and his father grew in one of Sartell’s Community Garden plots. The 8-year-old got to watch the pumpkin grow all season, until it attained a weight of 40 pounds and a circumference of 48 inches. Father and son will likely transform the big pumpkin into a big jack ‘o’ lantern for Halloween night.
