As part of the Sartell-St. Stephen School District’s Farm to School program, a group of eager seventh-graders schucked their hearts out last week to clean 528 ears of corn. The corn, grown locally at a farm near Foley, was served in district schools Sept. 13. September is “Farm to School Month.” Other locally grown produce that has been served recently included green beans, watermelon, zucchini and cantaloupe.
