There is still room for more participants in a “Family to Family” class that will start Wednesday, Sept. 5 in Sartell.
Family to Family is a course for people who are living with a person suffering from any form of mental illness. The course, under the auspices of the National Alliance on Mental Illness, is free. It is designed to help family members develop a greater understanding of mental illness, a chance to discuss and share resources, build communication skills, reduce stress and learn ways to find a variety of support systems.
The 12-week class meets every Wednesday from 6:30-9 p.m. at the Unity Spiritual Center, 931 5th Ave. N., Sartell.
In Sartell, the course facilitators are Steve and Wendy Hennes. To register, call Steve or Wendy at 253-1926. Family to Family began in Sartell about six months ago. This will be the second course taught under the leadership of the Henneses.
