I myself served three years in the U.S. Army Signal Corp unit during the Viet Nam War Era. I served 18 months in South Korea during my three years of service. Some members of my unit told me of the horrible situations they had to endure providing support to various combat military units. I was fortunate I was not assigned to a Viet Nam unit.
Having a former president (Trump) make disparaging statements about all former military deceased members is simply a sad state of affairs for this country. Several classmates of mine gave their ultimate sacrifice for this country so we all may enjoy the freedoms we enjoy today. All members of the military throughout the years who have given their lives cannot ever be given enough thanks.
Why would our former president call our deceased military suckers and losers? He also said the distinguished Medal of Honor was less than the citizens’ Medal of Freedom. What was he thinking?
I, for one, cannot understand why voters would vote for a convicted felon of 34 felonies, a sexual assault liability conviction and several other indictments against him. He does not deserve to be called the former president of these United States. It’s just plain embarrassing. Like many speakers at the Democractic National Convention stated, that person does not deserve to stand behind the seal of the President of the United States ever. Do you really want a convicted criminal to be your next president?
I hope fellow voters will do the right thing when you vote in the upcoming election for president and vote for democracy and freedom forever. The Harris/Walz campaign is counting on you to do the right thing.
