The Y2K Lions Club of St. Joseph has decided to assume management/coordination of a popular summer program dubbed “Art in the Park.”
The Newsleaders learned good news recently from Lisa Wolf, who along with her daughter Aquiliana, started that program four summers ago. Lisa and Aquiliana reluctantly had to drop their leadership of that program because of time constraints caused by other pursuits, including Aquiliana’s upcoming college studies.
Art in the Park is a fun, free, creative series of events for young children. It took place every Thursday at St. Joseph parks where children would gather to create art works – drawings, paintings and craft projects. Thanks to the Y2K Lions, those fun, free, creative summer gatherings can continue next summer and perhaps beyond.
The non-profit Y2K Lions, founded in the year 2000, is a service organization comprised of women who do all kinds of outreach projects for St. Joseph and its residents as well as good deeds for the entire area.
