Halloween Historia to be held Oct. 20

Halloween Historia, featuring trick or treating, hayrides in Heritage Park, a Halloween scavenger hunt, crafts, face painting and a petting zoo, will be held from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 20 at the Stearns History Museum, 235 33rd Ave. S., St. Cloud. This event is free to members, nominal fee for non-members. stearns-museum.org.

Learn more, paint rocks with Women of Today

The Minnesota Women of Today invite women 18 and older to a morning of rock painting and to learn more about this volunteer organization from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 20 at the American Legion, 101 W. Trunk or Treat set Oct. 28
Community “Trunk or Treat” event from 4-6 pm. Sunday, Oct. 28 at Resurrection Lutheran Church in St. Joseph. Dress up the kids for some early trick or treating and bring them out for a great time. A light lunch (free-will donations) and treats will also be served inside the church. Back-up plan for bad weather is to have it inside the church. You won’t want to miss this great time with your kiddos!

Fire Department says thank you St. Joseph

The St. Joseph Fire department would like to thank the community and the sponsors for all of their support of the 2018 Fire Safety Fair held Oct. 12.

Candidate forum set Oct. 23 for House 13B, Senate 13

A candidate forum for Minnesota Legislative District 13, sponsored by the League of Women Voters, St. Cloud Area will be held from 7-8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 23 at Sartell City Hall, 125 Pinecone Road, Sartell.The LWVSCA has invited candidates running for House District 13B, Heidi Everett and Tim O’Driscoll, along with candidates running for Senate District 13, Jeff Howe and Joe Perske. The Senate race is a special election completing two years of a four-year term ending in 2020. District 13B includes Sartell, St. Stephen, St. Wendel Township, Sauk Rapids and Holdingford.

Senior Connection to host school board candidate forum
The Sartell Senior Connection will host a Sartell-St. Stephen School District School Board Candidate Forum from 6:30-8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 29 in the Sartell Community Center. This will be a moderated forum. Questions from the public will be addressed by each candidate.
