promotes Ascheman as senior accountant
Brent Ascheman was recently promoted to senior accountant at Conway, Deuth & Schmiesing, PLLP. He joined CDS in 2013 as a staff accountant. Ascheman graduated from St. Cloud State University in St. Cloud with a bachelor’s degree in business management. He received his CPA certification from the Minnesota Board of Accountancy in 2017. Ascheman earned his certified QuickBooks proadvisor certification in 2015. His focus areas are QuickBooks, tax preparation, bookkeeping, financial statements, reviews, compilations, business consulting and the petroleum industry.
Ascheman is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Minnesota Society of Certified Public Accountants. He is a member of the Central Minnesota Networking group. He is also a member of the Sartell and St. Cloud Chambers of Commerce and is involved with the Central Minnesota Builders Association.
Brent, his wife, Kassie, and their children reside in Avon.
St. Cloud Hospital attained Magnet recognition for the fourth time in May. The American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Magnet Recognition Program distinguishes health-care organizations that meet rigorous standards for nursing excellence. This credential is the highest national honor for professional nursing practice. There are only 49 hospitals worldwide that have been Magnet-recognized four times or more.
Heather Wensel of Sartell was named to the spring president’s list at Minnesota State Community and Technical College, Fergus Falls. Students must earn a minimum 3.5 grade-point average to qualify for this honor.
Students, staff and families from Sartell High School WE and Sartell Middle School Student Council packed 8,208 meals May 16 at Kids Fighting Hunger in Sauk Rapids.
Fourth-graders from Oak Ridge Elementary School and Pine Meadow Elementary School visited their future school, Sartell Middle School. They toured the school, tried lunch in the cafeteria and more with SMS staff and eighth-grade Happy Helper volunteers. These preview days were started a few years ago to help with the transition from elementary to middle school.
