The Sartell Pee Wee hockey team is District 5 Champion. In playoff action Feb. 23, the team beat River Lakes 4-0 and faced them again on Feb. 24 claiming a 6-3 win.
Kayla Nelson of St. Stephen has been named to the fall semester dean’s list at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities.To qualify for the dean’s List, a student must attain a minimum 3.66 grade-point average.
Dr. Kimberly Tjaden of Sartell has been named the 2019 Family Physician of the Year by the Minnesota Academy of Family Physicians.
This award is presented annually to a family physician who personifies the highest ideals of family medicine: compassionate, comprehensive patient care and involvement in the community.
Tjaden has been practicing family medicine in St. Cloud for 20 years. She sees patients at the St. Cloud Medical Group South Campus and is actively involved in community health education and outreach to underserved populations.
She is an alumnus of the University of Nebraska College of Medicine.
Two Sartell students were named to the fall semester dean’s list at St. Olaf College, Northfield. They are Jacob Franzmeier, son of Paula and Martin Franzmeier, and Lizzy Minnerath, daughter of Sylvia and Dale and Minnerath. The dean’s list recognizes students with a semester grade-point average of 3.75 or higher on a 4-point scale.
Kaylee Tenvoorde of Sartell has been named to the president’s list at Bemidji State University for fall semester. To be eligible for the president’s list, students earn a perfect 4.0 grade-point average.
Three Sartell students have been named to the dean’s list at Bemidji State University for fall semester. The students are Angela Higgins, Jarret Janu and EvaLynn Jundt. To be eligible for the dean’s list, students earn a 3.5 grade-point average.
Chase Meyers of St. Stephen has ben named to the fall semester dean’s list at the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks. To be named to the dean’s list, students earn a grade-point average in the top 15 percent of students. Meyers was also named to the president’s honor roll. To qualify, a student must have an overall cumulative grade-point average of 3.80 or higher.
McKenzie Fossen of Sartell has been named to the president’s honor roll at the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks. To qualify, a student must have an overall cumulative grade-point average of 3.80 or higher.
Seven Sartell students have been named to the dean’s list for fall semester at St. John’s University. They are Dean Amundson, son of Charmin and Ben Amundson; Benjamin Bierscheid, son of Karla Pallansch and Scott Bierscheid; Elliot Edeburn, son of Ann Elise Edeburn; Brandon Kramer, son of Lesa and Dan Kramer; Spencer Pierskalla, son of Joni and Sam Pierskalla; Matthew Immelman, son of Pamela and Aubrey Immelman; and Matthew Michaud, son of Shelly Smith. To be included on the dean’s list, students must have a semester grade-point average of at least 3.80.
