March 20

10:12 a.m. Threat. Baker Street E. An officer was dispatched to a threats complaint. The caller advised he was woken up by his 10-year-old daughter who told him she was on a social media platform called Discord. He said someone had threatened to kill his daughter. The daughter deleted her profile. No suspect information could be provided. The incident was documented and options discussed. The caller was provided an incident number for follow up if needed.

March 21

5:22 p.m. Domestic. Iverson Street W. Officer was dispatched to a domestic in progress. The caller stated it sounded physical. Upon arrival, officer found two sisters who said they were having a verbal fight over cleaning, but it wasn’t physical. Officer did not see any signs it was physical.

8:12 p.m. Domestic. Baker Street E. An officer was dispatched to a verbal between father and son. Upon arrival, the officer met with both who were upset but not physical. After speaking with all parties, the family felt they would feel safer if the son left for the night. A small argument regarding a vehicle started back up while officers were there but the son left for a friend’s house.

March 31

3:01 p.m. Theft. Minnesota Street E. Officer was dispatched to a theft at Bello Cucina. The owner reported someone stole a patio umbrella, valued at $100. The owner advised this was the second umbrella stolen recently. Owner signed a stolen property form. No suspect information or evidence at this time.

April 1

8:27 p.m. Custody exchange. Fourth Avenue SE. Officer spoke to a female who had questions about a custody exchange. She said her custody paperwork stated it was her weekend; however it also stated the father gets the kids on Easter. She was concerned because she thought she should have the kids because it’s her weekend. She was advised the judge may have granted her a holiday that lands on the father’s weekend as well in the future. She was advised it would be best to work it out civilly. She stated she would try to work it out without anyone losing their time.

April 4

3:14 p.m. Shoplifting. Elm Street E. Officers received a report of a female concealing items in Dollar General. When officers arrived, store staff advised the female locked herself in the bathroom. When the bathroom opened, the female was recognized from previous contacts. It was found the female had dumped items on a shelf. The store trespassed the female and didn’t want to pursue theft charges. Trespass notice issued, and she was released.

April 5

12:25 p.m. Theft. College Avenue S. Officers received a theft complaint that occurred on the College of St. Benedict campus of white air pods in a pink case. They are unable to be tracked unless the owner’s phone gets close enough to reconnect. Value is $200. The caller believes she may have left them on campus while she was doing homework, and someone picked them up and took them after she had left. They checked with campus security and filled out a stolen property report.
