Northwestern Mutual financial advisors, staff and local community members recently participated in a Chip for Charity Golf Tournament, a day of golf and a silent auction at Wapicada Golf Club. It raised more than $100,000 as part of the company’s 10-year corporate commitment for Childhood Cancer Research and Patient Support. Northwestern Mutual launched its national philanthropic focus on childhood cancer in 2012 to find better cures and treatments for childhood cancer while also providing family, patient and survivor support. With the help of its employees and financial advisors nationwide, the program has contributed more than $45 million to the cause, funding more than 520,000 hours of research.
