Movie Under the Stars set Aug. 26 at Whitney
Movie Under the Stars, a free event sponsored by St. Cloud Park & Recreation and featuring “The Rookie,” the 2002 baseball G-rated hit starring Dennis Quaid, will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 26, Whitney Sports Complex Field C-3, 1529 Northway Drive, St. Cloud. This event was rescheduled due to wet weather. Yard games, inflatables, door prizes and concessions available.
St. Cloud Park & Rec to run softball tourney/home run derby
A Free Agent Softball Tournament and Home Run Derby, sponsored by St. Cloud Park & Recreation, will start at 9 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 7 at Whitney Park, 1529 Northway Drive, St. Cloud. Millstream Arts Festival returns to downtown St. Joseph
Millstream Arts Festival returns to downtown St. Joseph from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 28. Millstream Arts Festival is an outdoor juried arts festival bringing together great regional artists across diverse media including pottery, jewelry, fiber, glass, wood, painting, leather, photography and literature. The festival also features fabulous entertainment including live music on stage, dance performances, strolling musicians and hands-on art activities for children. St. Stephen Parish to hold fest Sept. 5
The St. Stephen Parish Festival will be held, rain or shine, from 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 5 at the church in St. Stephen. Bingo and dice games and a country store and bake sale will be held indoors while outside booths include a goat raffle, quilt stand/raffle, cake walk, farmers’ market, food booths, beer gardens, grannie’s attic and a silent auction. A homemade chicken and ham dinner with all the trimmings starts at 11 a.m. Children’s games and activities will start at noon; pedal tractor pull at 1 p.m. There will be live music from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. featuring JJ’s Band and Laverne and the Starlights.
