Sartell

I am responding to the letter-to-editor by Jerry Horgen entitled “It’s Hard to Understand Good Friends.” (April 19 Newsleader). Mr Horgen, quit trashing Fox News. It is where we get the most information about what is going on at the southern border, so-called peaceful demonstrating by people on the Left (which is not peaceful) in cities like Minneapolis and Portland in 2020 and now at universities across the country calling for “Death to America” and burning the American flag and “Death to Israel.”

On the day of the Jan. 6, 2021 incident, it has not been legally deemed an insurrection, only called that by the Left. You are insinuating nine people died on that day. The facts are only Ashli Babbitt died when shot by Capitol police for just being there. One person died later from an overdose. Three died from natural causes. Four died months later by suicide.

Yes, 460 people were imprisoned but is it justified? There are many who should be imprisoned but are not. There is rampant crime across the country, many criminals let go, no cash bail, never to show up for hearings in “Blue” cities.

Your comment that Trump believing Medicare and Social Security should be cut is questionable. Where is the fact? Trump believing in Vladimir Putin rather than our U.S. government. Where is the fact? That Trump has been convicted of fraud in his business dealings when he has not been convicted of that. Where is the fact? The “bloodbath” term used by Trump was taken out of context. That has been used by many politicians and commentators (throughout) the years. Only the Left freaks out about it when it’s used by Trump. Trump wants to jail his opponents? I believe that is what is happening now by the current administration!
