Pro-Palestinian protesters are unfortunately the victims of a sophisticated campaign of indoctrination, successfully, it would appear, initiated and financed by Qatar since 2001.
History would teach these younger generations that there has never been a “Palestinian” nation, just agglomerations of mostly rival clans, suddenly united by the creation of the state of Israel in 1948, viewed as a mortal enemy. The threat “from the river to the sea”, embraced by so many naïve demonstrators, is a political Palestinian slogan from the 1960s referring to the elimination pure and simple of Israel as a Jewish state.
With Arab neighbors of Israel not exactly forthcoming in accepting and integrating various groups of Palestinians displaced by the creation of this new state, the concept of a “two-state” solution was developed by Western powers but never embraced by “so called” Palestinian leaders who never relinquished the fundamental principle of erasing Israel from the map. Despite billions of dollars in financial support, the injection of money has been thus far around $8,700 per capita in Gaza and the West Bank versus around $400 per capita (in today’s money) to reconstruct Europe after WWII. Palestinians can only show miles of tunnel and an arsenal of rockets. Donated funds have been systematically diverted from helping people to building a military infrastructure aimed at the destruction of Israel and creating a small clique of billionaire terrorists living under the protection of the Qatari.
It is reported between 2001 and 2021, Qatar donated $4.7 billion to U.S. colleges and universities. These funds have had an immense influence on the minds of young generations, fostering unprecedented levels of anti-Israel and pro-Palestinian sentiments as demonstrated in the past few months. Unfortunately, no lasting peace will ever be bestowed on the Middle East unless Hamas is crushed and eliminated, its ideology finally defeated and Israelis can live in peace and security, confident their neighbors are not plotting another attack but entertaining healthy commercial and cultural relationships based on respect and cooperation as realized under the Abraham Accords so successfully created and negotiated by the previous administration.
