Crime Stoppers offers rewards up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for a crime.

Dec. 1
10:55 p.m. Suspicious vehicle. CR 75 W. An officer located a suspicious vehicle at Millstream Park. Spoke with the driver, who was unaware of the ordinance. Officer gave a verbal warning and he left the park.

Dec. 2
9:11 a.m. Found property. CR 75 W. City maintenance turned in a set of keys on a red keyring. Keyring contained a Chevrolet key and two other keys. Keys will be placed into the evidence found property bin.

Dec. 3
2:45 p.m. Animal complaint. Minnesota Street W. Police received an animal complaint. The complaint said two dogs in a black Ram parked at this address have been left alone for days. An officer arrived on scene and noticed the dogs had no food or water. The dogs appeared malnourished and were skinny. It should also be noted the weather is dangerously cold. Warrant was served to obtain the dogs. The dogs were transported to Tri-County Humane Society.

Dec. 4
12:28 a.m. Suspicious activity. Ridgewood Court. While on patrol, an officer observed the gate open at Capitol Storage Rental. The officer drove through the facility and did not see anyone and did not see anything suspicious, shut the gate but was unable to lock it as the code had changed. Left a message for the contact number on the sign.

Dec. 5
4:54 p.m. Damaged property. Iris Lane E. Complainant came into the police department to report her garbage can was broken sometime today. An officer went to the residence and complainant stated the garbage can had a crack in the back, and had a hole on the side of it. Officer took pictures of the garbage can. Complainant said the garbage can was still up right when she got home. Complainant does not have any cameras which would have captured what happened. The can is valued at $135. There are no suspects.

Dec. 6
3:04 p.m. Domestic. Iverson Street W. Units were dispatched to a dispute. The two juveniles and parent were arguing about one of the juvenile’s phones. The 13-year-old stated the 15-year-old assaulted her. The 15-year-old stated the 13-year-old assaulted her and her mother. No probable cause to arrest any parties.

Dec. 8
3:27 p.m. Suspicious smell. Pondview Lane E. An officer was dispatched to a gas leak. The homeowner believed he could smell two different types of gas in his house. Officer responded and determined everyone was out of the residence. The St. Joseph Fire Department responded and used their gas detection device. No gas was detected. It appeared the original odor came from a snow blower in the garage.

Dec. 9
7:58 p.m. Medical. First Avenue NW. An officer was dispatched to a medical for a woman with chest pain and low oxygen levels; arrived on scene and gathered basic patient information. Rescue and ambulance arrived on scene and took over patient care. Officer was cleared by ambulance.

Dec. 10
3:19 p.m. Litter. 12th Avenue SE. Received a complaint of garbage from Heritage Cove Apartment blowing into neighboring lawns. Spoke to property owner about the issue. Property owner advised he will get the problem resolved.
