I want to support some recent submissions to the editor that echo my grave concerns about the looming destruction of our country under a Trump-Musk dictatorship.
What is happening to the rule of law, democracy, equality, safety and freedom is a warning, and in my opinion, very dangerous. Hitler all over again? YES. Have we lost care for humanity and the common good, environment, protected lands, water, air? What about goodwill, serving the sick, poor, strangers and immigrants? Cherry picking Christian values for self-serving power and wealth is NOT Christian.
I am sad for good and hard-working Americans who bought into Trumps lies and who support his hate through domination. The chaos and instability created by this administration, only two months in, is eroding freedom, safety and our very way of life. This is NOT making America great again. It’s destroying America from within, making enemies of our allies, giving a nod to dictators like Putin and setting our nation up for the greatest of horrors in history.
We need to Wake up People. Trump has been and is plotting the dismantling of America. Anyone who disagrees is ridiculed, fired and destroyed. No wonder Republicans are afraid. I pray they find strength and courage to challenge MAGA and Trump, who continues to say he has never done anything wrong! It is time to get real, get humble and be brave in objection. Trump is NOT our Savior, but rather, a mentally and morally deranged dictator wannabe.
