Sept. 1

9:51 a.m. Public assist. 320 Street. Police were requested to assist with traffic at the scene of a vehicle crash. The chain reaction of the crash had resulted in a house fire. Officers provided traffic control until barricades could be put in place.

3:56 p.m. Medical. Hill Street W. Officers responded to a male was experiencing irregular heartbeat and difficulty breathing. Police arrived and found the male sitting at the kitchen table, fully alert. Oxygen was administered until Gold Cross paramedics arrived. He was transported to the St. Cloud Hospital for further medical attention.

11:42 p.m. Medical. Birch Street W. Police responded to a man in a parking lot who had kicked his window out because he had locked his keys in his car. Consequently, he had cut his leg with glass. He stated he did not require any medical attention. No further action was taken.

Sept. 2

6:54 a.m. Suspicious vehicle. Elm Street E. Police were dispatched after a report of a suspicious vehicle. The man stated he was simply waiting for the credit union to open as he did every morning.

9:46 a.m. Animal complaint. Cedar Street E. Authorities were sent to pick up a stray dog. Police took custody of the animal and brought it to city maintenance for safe keeping. No one has yet claimed the dog.

Sept. 3

12:19 a.m. Alarm. Fourth Avenue N.E. Police were dispatched to an alarm at a local gas station. Upon arrival, authorities found an employee who was closing the building. He stated the alarm did not work properly. The manager arrived on scene and reset the alarm. No further action was taken.

12:49 p.m. Medical. College Avenue S. Authorities responded to a female who had fallen while riding a skateboard and possibly had a broken leg. Because of another obligation, police were unable to respond. The patient was monitored and transported to the St. Cloud Hospital by Gold Cross paramedics.

8:24 p.m. Traffic stop. College Avenue/Hill Street W. While on routine patrol, authorities locked the speed of a passing vehicle at 50 mph in a posted 30-mph zone. The vehicle was pulled over and issued a citation. No further action was taken.

Sept. 4

6:03 a.m. Unlocked door. Minnesota Street E. While on routine patrol, police found the back door of a business unlocked. A message was left with the keyholder. The area was cleared.

11:57 a.m. Medical. Third Avenue N.E. Police responded to a medical incident involving a 90-year-old male with a severe nose bleed. Paramedics and police arrived on scene simultaneously. The man was transported to the St. Cloud Hospital by Gold Cross Ambulance.
