Lions fish fry, meat raffle set April 2 at Sal’s
The annual fish fry and meat raffle, sponsored by the St. Joseph Lions Club, will be held from 4:30-7:30 p.m. Friday, April 2 in Sal’s Bar & Grill, 109 W. Minnesota St. St. Joseph. All proceeds benefit Lions endeavors.

Family Child Care – Reading Buddy
Minnesota Reading Corps is recruiting tutors for children age five and younger. Thousands of Minnesota kids need help getting an early start with reading and building skills to help them succeed in Kindergarten. Offer your time and talent as a tutor and be more for these students. As a Preschool Tutor-Family Child Care, you will help children in a Licensed Family Child Care settings to build skills and get ready for Kindergarten. Training and bi-weekly coaching is available to prepare you to work with groups of preschool children with literacy skills, math skills and confidence. Tutors work multiple sites and visit each site three times a week. Children make the most progress with consistency so tutors commit to serving Monday-Friday. Give your time as a tutor serving 25 hours each week and you will receive a perks package that includes: a stipend of $636 paid every two weeks, up to $3172 for tuition or student loads, Federal student loan forbearance and interest repayment and mileage reimbursement. Food Packaging Opportunities
Kids Fighting Hunger is a volunteer-driven international hunger relief campaign working to distribute food resources to people experiencing extreme hunger and malnutrition both locally and globally. This is open to student organizations, businesses, service organizations, and church for up to 16 people from different households. This is 25% of their normal capacity to ensure social distancing.
