July 16
1:22 a.m. Curfew. Officers were on patrol when they located two juveniles on their bikes at Kwik Trip. The officer talked with them who stated they lived across the bridge and were unaware of curfew. Officers advised them to no longer go out after 11 p.m. and they left for home.
July 17
11:38 p.m. Fireworks. Perimeter Drive. Officers were dispatched to a fireworks complaint. The caller stated someone was throwing fireworks at their house. Officers were unable to locate anyone in the area and were unsuccessful in reaching the complainant back.
July 19
10:58 a.m. Ordinance violation. Seventh Avenue N. Officers were dispatched for an ordinance parking complaint. The caller stated a pop-up camper on wood blocks has been parked on the street for several weeks. Officers tried to contact the homeowner but were unsuccessful. The officer left a door hanger explaining why they were there and the 72 hours on-street parking ordinance the homeowner was in violation of.
July 20
7:57 p.m. Unwanted person. Twin Rivers Court. Officers responded to an unwanted person call. Officers arrived and found the vehicle in the parking lot. The driver was upset about their menu order and admitted they were angry staff would not help in the drive-thru lane. Officers spoke with management and due to previous issues decided to trespass the driver. The driver was cooperative and while not happy with being trespassed, understood and left.
July 22
6:07 p.m. Property damage. Eighth Avenue N. Officers were dispatched to a property damage complaint. The homeowner stated a golf ball had hit the large bay window causing damage to the frame and cracked the window. The victim also pointed out a spot above the garage door that had damage consistent with a golf ball. The homeowner stated they found three golf balls in the grass and in the hedges near the damaged window. There are no suspects currently.
July 24
11:43 p.m. Traffic stop. Watab Court. Officers were on patrol when they observed a vehicle approaching at a speed faster than the posted speed limit. The officer caught up with the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop. The officer asked the driver why they were going so fast, to which the driver didn’t provide a reason. The driver was issued a citation for speeding.
July 28
5:23 p.m. Hazard. Fourth Avenue S./Third Street S. Officers were called for flooding in the area. Due to the heavy rain that passed through, the storm drains could not keep up. Officers arrived and found a vehicle with its flashers on. The driver stated they were going through the puddle when the vehicle stalled. The officer called for a tow and provided lights until the vehicle was cleared.
