July 24
7:18 a.m. Vehicle theft. 6th Street S. A report was made regarding two unlocked vehicles that had items stolen from them sometime during the overnight. The items were located and a male and female were taken into custody and transported to Stearns County Jail.
9:53 p.m. Vandalism. Blackberry Circle. A report was made regarding a home being egged at approximately 9 p.m. Officers were unable to locate a vehicle.
11:50 p.m. Juvenile runaway. 5th Street NE. A report was made regarding a young boy who had run away from home and the sitter could not get him to return. An officer was able to locate the boy and transport him back to the residence. His mother was also contacted and had returned home.
July 25
5:41 p.m. Juvenile fight. 3rd Avenue N. A complaint was made regarding a possible fight happening between juvenile males. An officer arrived and found it was two cousins who were wrestling and playing.
7:11 p.m. DWI. 10th Street S. A vehicle was witnessed traveling at a higher rate of speed than the posted speed limit. The driver smelled of alcoholic beverages and was unable to complete roadside testing. He was placed under arrest and transported to Stearns County Jail.
July 26
10:44 p.m. Juvenile problem. Evergreen Drive. A complaint was made regarding a juvenile male who was walking around a neighborhood carrying a bat. An officer made contact with the boy, who claimed he was carrying it for protection. He stated he was on his way home from playing outside.
July 27
5:38 a.m. Property damage. Amber Avenue S. A report was made regarding a storage locker that had been entered. The lock appeared to have been pried open.
10:24 p.m. Suspicious vehicle. 2nd Street N. A complaint was made regarding a vehicle that was parked in the area. When officers arrived, the vehicle had left.
11:43 p.m. Suspicious activity. 7th Street N. While on patrol, an officer witnessed a male loading material into a trailer from a construction site. The male stated he had the owner’s permission to take the leftover supplies. The owner was contacted and the information was verified.
July 28
5:17 a.m. Suspicious person. Connecticut Avenue. A report was made regarding a male who had been sitting on the corner for some time and didn’t seem to be moving. An officer arrived and found the male was resting and had been drinking. He was able to communicate his address and the officer transported him home to a sober party.
1:07 p.m. Stalled vehicle. Highway 15. A report was made regarding an elderly man standing next to a stalled vehicle. An officer arrived and the male stated he just wanted the vehicle towed and he was OK. The officer stood by and provided safety lights until the vehicle was towed.
July 29
12:02 p.m. Tobacco checks. Sartell conducted Tobacco Sale Compliance Checks and all businesses passed.
9:33 p.m. Suspicious vehicle. 2nd Avenue NE. A complaint was made regarding a suspicious vehicle parked in the area. An officer contacted the driver and found it was two females who were just talking.
