A bomb threat was reported at 7:56 a.m. Tuesday, March 4, at Grand Champion Meats in Foley.
According to a news release issued by Foley Police Chief Katie McMillin, Foley Police officers and Benton County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the meat market, where the bomb threat was reported.
Staff at Grand Champion Meats said they received a phone call from an individual stating the business needed to terminate an employee otherwise the caller was going to blow up the building.
All staff evacuated the building and contacted law enforcement. Law enforcement officers established a safety perimeter and began the work of evaluating the threat.
After reviewing all information given, law enforcement officers searched the building. Nothing suspicious was found inside the business.
The incident remains under investigation.
