Should chickens be allowed in Sartell?
That will be the topic of a debate at Sartell City Hall at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20.
All are invited to the event, which is called “Chickens in the Backyard: Running A(fowl) of the Law.” It is the first of a planned series of debates, dubbed “Sartell Says,” that will take place at city hall. The debates will be free and open to the public.
Local debate participants in the first debate are King Banaian, an economics professor at St. Cloud State University; Jean Lavigne, a professor of environmental studies at the College of St. Benedict; Lisa Schreifels, St. Cloud Director of Health; and Matt Lindstrom, McCarthy Center director at St. John’s University and the College of St. Benedict.
After the debate, people in the audience can participate in a question-answer forum.
