Ten-year-old Laura Emmanuel of Sartell and her friends will go in groups of four door-to-door in Sartell on the afternoon of Saturday, April 8 to request donations to help the victims of famine in Somalia. They will be accompanied by Caucasian and Somali adults.
It’s part of an effort dubbed “Sartell Kids Care.” Emmanuel and her family have begun projects in Sartell and beyond whose purpose is to promote respect for diversity. For more about their efforts, see a story in next week’s paper.
