Two people from Utah died in a two-car collision on Stearns CR 2 near Island Lake Road north of Cold Spring Wednesday morning.
The collision occurred when a driver traveling south lost control and slid sideways into the northbound lane about 8 a.m., according to the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office.
The vehicle crashed in the ditch and rolled. Cody Randall, 30, and JD Randall, 24 were thrown from the vehicle and died. A third occupant, Katie Seegmiller, 15, was trapped in the vehicle. She was airlifted to North Memorial Medical Center where she was listed in critical condition.
All three are from Washington City, Utah.
The other vehicle was driven by Sandra Hansen, 64, of Cold Spring. She was taken to St. Cloud Hospital and was listed in stable condition.
The collision closed CR2 for about three hours.
