March 13 Sartell police blotter

March 6

9:05 p.m. DWI. CR 1. A citizen called in a complaint about a driver. The officer found the vehicle in a parking lot still running. The officer talked with the driver and conducted field sobriety tests. The individual was arrested for DWI and transported to Stearns County Jail.

March 7

8:25 p.m. Domestic. Fifth Ave. E. Officers were dispatched about a loud argument. Officers talked with both parties. Both indicated that there had been an argument but had resolved the issue and would keep it down in the future.

March 8

11:10 p.m. Traffic stop. Hwy. 15. An officer saw a vehicle with a broken taillight. The officer stopped the vehicle and it was discovered the driver did not have valid insurance. The officer warned the driver about the taillight and issued a citation for the lack of insurance.

March 9

6:50 p.m. Domestic. Amber Avenue S. Officers were dispatched to a physical domestic turned argument between two men. Upon arrival officers separated the two individuals. Both individuals were uncooperative. The officers removed one man from the property to keep further arguments from happening. 

March 10

6:45 p.m. Traffic stop. CR 1. An officer conducted a routine license plate check on a vehicle. The owner of the vehicle driving had an expired license. The officer stopped the vehicle and the driver did have an expired license and could not provide proof of insurance. The officer cited the driver for both infractions.

March 11

10:20 a.m. School bus. Riverside Avenue N. An officer was dispatched for a vehicle not stopping for a school bus that had its stop arm extended. The bus driver had to employ the horn to get the vehicle to stop. The owner of the vehicle admitted to the officer they were the driver at the time. The officer gave a warning to the driver.

March 12

11:10 a.m. Detention order. Fifth Avenue N. Officers were requested by a probation officer to assist in detaining an individual who was in violation of their probation requirements. The individual was arrested and transported to Stearns County Jail.
