Richard and Helen (Schulte) Kuebelbeck died after 71 years of marriage and were lifelong residents in St. Joseph.

Richard donated his body to Mayo Clinic for studies and a private memorial service will be held when finalized. Both Richard and Helen chose to have a Mass and private memorial service together in the future.

Survivors include the following: their children: Joan (Joe) Juline, Bruce (Jeannie) Kuebelbeck, Susan (John) Meyer and Marcus (Cheryl) Kuebelbeck; six grandchildren: Kathy Omlid (Kelvin fiancé), Nicolas (Angie) Kuebelbeck, Lindsay (Mike) Brunn, Chad Kuebelbeck, Matthew Baker, Leah (Chris partner) Baker; five great-grandchildren: Warner and Rocco Brunn (Lindsay) Conrad and Clara (Nick) and Jayce (Chad); and Richard’s brothers and sisters: James (Carol) Kuebelbeck, Jay Kuebelbeck, Carol (Ernie) Opatz, Jennie (Len) Fawn and Mary Johannes.

Memorials can be donated to the Poor Claires Monastery.

Their full obituary will be published in the Dec. 20 edition of the St. Joseph Newsleader.

Von Pinnon has been publishing the St. Joseph Newsleader since 1989, the Sartell-St. Stephen Newsleader since 1995 and the Sauk Rapids-Rice Newsleader since 2015. She graduated from Minnesota State University-Moorhead with degrees in mass communications (with an emphasis on print journalism) and biology. She lives in southeast St. Cloud with her husband and two children.
