Franco Cusipag has been named chief financial officer at St Cloud Financial Credit Union. Franco exemplifies the credit union’s commitment to the community in actions such as Indy Foundation involvement and prior board member experience at Anna Marie’s Alliance. “I have admired the culture and the people of SCFCU from afar,” Franco said. “I can’t believe I’m here. It’s as good as advertised. Employees truly care about their coworkers and the members they serve. The exec team is the real deal! They lead with such passion and authenticity. They are great stewards and fiduciaries of the credit union. Excited to be a part of it. Can’t wait to make a meaningful difference.”
In his new role he plans on working on initiatives that will produce enduring financial performance that will support the credit union’s mission to create a meaningful difference with their members, and in the communities the credit union serves. His past leadership, including 20+ years in finance and accounting will prove a valuable asset at SCFCU. Members and the community can look forward to many more years of success and tailored service under Franco’s guidance.

Emily Crandall of Sartell, who is studying integrated science-business at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, has earned a roster spot on the Warhawk women’s basketball team for the 2023-24 season.

Kamille Counter of Sartell was one of the students awarded with scholarships this year through the Stout University Foundation at the University of Wisconsin-Stout.

St. John’s Prep students from grades 6 through 12 collected $2,103 in cash/check donations and 50 boxes of food for the St. Joseph Community Food Shelf in this year’s Thanksgiving Food Drive. The food bank is now distributing the food to families in the St. Joseph area.

Stearns Bank N.A. in partnership with the Central Minnesota Community Foundation is excited to announce the Stearns Bank Community Challenge: up to $100,000 is offered as a match for every dollar donated this holiday season. The Stearns Bank Community Challenge is underway and ends Dec. 31. Contributions should be sent directly to any of the following eligible food shelves to the attention of the “Stearns Bank Community Challenge”: Catholic Charities (911 18th St. N., St. Cloud 56301); or ccstcloud.org/donate), St. Cloud Salvation Army (400 US Highway 10 S., St. Cloud 56304); or centralusa.salvationarmy.org/northern/StCloud) and St. Joseph Community Food Shelf (P.O. Box 384, St. Joseph 56374).
