What many worried would be “road confusion” has turned out just fine – at least so far.
The newly opened diverging-diamond intersection in south Sartell (Hwy. 15/CR 120) has caused no accidents or other serious problems, Sartell Police Chief Jim Hughes informed the city council Oct. 28.
Hughes said the signage there and people directing traffic have been excellent in helping motorists negotiate the interchange with no problems. Some council members noted there are some minor glitches that need to be worked out, such as better coordination of the timing between the two sets of stoplights. Hughes agreed and said experts are working on that. Things are improving quickly, he said.
