Hundreds of people in our community are living in homes and apartments without basic essential furnishings; 40 percent are Children.
Community Furniture Program, a division of  Central Minnesota Re-Entry Project is a nonprofit organization that provides gently used furniture to low-income families. CFP is in need of beds, dressers, tables, chairs, lamps and other furnishings. A furniture drive is being held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday Oct. 27 at Messiah Lutheran Church, Sartell. If you have gently used furniture to donate, bring it to the parking lot at 320 4th Ave. N., Sartell on Saturday Oct. 20. Get a tax donation receipt and a family gets new hope. Your help is needed. Pickups are available upon request. To schedule a pickup contact Community Furniture Program at 320-656-9004. Co-sponsors of the event are the Otto Bremer Foundation, Initiative Foundation, United Way of Central Minnesota and Central Minnesota Community Foundation.
