Ron Scarbro, in your column you failed to mention how the Republican party is responsible for current economic problems. No one party is responsible for all the things wrong, and neither party can take credit for all the good things. President Obama has accomplished much in his first term, despite the Republicans’ unwillingness to compromise in order to move this country forward. The Republican party’s obstinance has led to an all-time low opinion of Congress, which we’ve all read and heard about in the news.
Will Romney bring back the jobs he sent to China? I don’t think so.
Obama has rid the world of Osama Bin Laden and Ghaddafi. The Republicans deny that. If it had been a Republican president when those terrorists were eliminated, they would be giving him all the credit. Obama is much more capable to deal with foreign affairs than Romney – how many insulting gaffes did Mitt Romney make on his recent world trip?
It sounds like you are promoting a one-party system. Scary. Your column has convinced me to consider voting for Democrats. This country can’t afford your kind of politics and opinions. It needs people who will work together, even if their political ideologies differ.
