Feb. 13
9:20 p.m. Parking violation. Mockingbird Lane. Officers noticed a vehicle parked in the street for multiple days in violation of winter-parking ordinance. The owner stated the vehicle was inoperable. Officers discussed the issue with the owner and he agreed to move the vehicle out of the road until it could be fixed.
Feb. 14
2:55 p.m. Road hazard. Hwy. 15. An officer was dispatched to a call of an individual having trouble changing a tire on the highway. The officer assisted with changing the tire and stayed until the vehicle could leave safely.
Feb. 15
5:40 p.m. Unwanted person. CR 120. A business reported a disruptive person. Officers talked with the individual who was refusing to leave. After discussing the issue with business management the individual was escorted from the grounds.
Feb. 16
2:55 p.m. School-bus violation. Second Street S. A vehicle drove by a school bus that had its warning lights on and stop arm extended. There were children getting off the bus. Officers found the vehicle later and stopped the driver. The driver was cited for the infraction.
Feb. 17
3:45 p.m. Traffic stop. Riverside Avenue S. An officer witnessed an individual in a vehicle that was known to him that had a warrant for his arrest. The officer stopped the vehicle and arrested the individual for the warrant. During the search of the vehicle drug paraphernalia, stolen property and counterfeit money was discovered. The driver and the individual were transported to Stearns County Jail.
Feb. 18
9:55 p.m. Traffic stop. Hwy. 15. An officer witnessed a vehicle fail to signal a turn. After stopping the vehicle, the officer discovered the driver had a suspended license and could not produce proof of insurance. The driver was cited for both infractions and the officer waited for a valid driver to arrive.
Feb. 19
9:50 a.m. Lift assist. CR 120. An officer assisted a bus rider who slid out of their scooter during a turn in a roundabout. The officer assisted the driver in placing the individual back into their scooter.
