Four new Sartell roadway welcome signs will be installed early this spring – three of them on roundabouts – as long as approval is granted where applicable by Benton and/or Stearns counties where city roads connect to county roads.
The City Council, at its Jan. 13 meeting, voted unanimously for the signs, including the fourth sign suggested at the meeting by Mayor Ryan Fitzthum. He said it would be good to place a sign on the right side of CR 29 just at the point that road nears Benton County Drive and the entrance to the bridge. The sign would face traffic coming from the east. Other council members agreed a welcome sign on the east side of Sartell would be a good thing.
The other signs, as recommended by city staff, are planned for the following locations:
• On the roundabout at 19th Street and CR 133, sign facing west.
• On the roundabout at CR 1/Heritage Drive/Le Sauk Drive, facing southeast toward Hwy. 15.
• On the roundabout at Scout Drive and Pinecone Road, facing south.

New signs, like this one on Pinecone Road near the high school, will be installed on main roads entering Sartell.
