Gold’n Plump, which purchased the Crystal Cabinets building at 4 Industrial Boulevard, has just had its plan to convert the building into a hatchery approved by the Sauk Rapids City Council.
The building will see a number of additions made to it throughout the coming years, according to the site plan. The current building is 73,369 square feet, and the first addition will be an additional 5,000 square feet.
Along with the hatchery, shipping and receiving as well as office space will be added.
Gold’n Plump plans to be in operation by February. The company plans to employ 30-40 people for the time being.
The site plan was approved unanimously by the council.
