Office hours at Stearns County’s License Center West will be changing on Wednesday. The Board of Commissioners agreed to adjust the hours effective August 1, 2012 to better meet the needs of customers.
On August 1, License Center West will be open 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Current office hours are Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. Drive-through hours as well will be 8:30 – 5:00. Only quick transactions, such as tab and DNR renewals and property tax drop-offs can be done through the drive-through.
License Center West is located in the Stearns County Service Center building, on County Road 138 near Mills Fleet Farm in Waite Park.
License Center West handles all motor vehicle transactions, DNR permits, marriage licenses, birth and death certificates, marriage certificates, passports, game and fish licenses, notaries, property tax payment drop-offs, platbooks, maps, Quarry Park permits, and drivers license change of address or lost licenses only, not renewals.

A reminder that the public can also use Stearns County’s Virtual License Center to order birth and death certificates, marriage licenses and certificates, DNR vehicle renewals and pay for them online. The Virtual License Center can be accessed by going to Stearns County’s website at www.co.stearns.mn.us; there’s a link on the bottom of the home page.
The downtown License Center office will remain open 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
