Audition for the
St. John’s Boys’ Choir

Boys in grades 3, 4 and 5 are invited to audition for the St. John’s Boys’ Choir during the week of Jan. 22-27. Now in its 43rd season, the SJBC provides an incredible music education with a focus on community-building, mentorship and global touring opportunities. We’re so much more than music! Learn more about this year’s expanded audition options: sjbchoir.org/audition. There’s no cost to audition, and scholarships are available.

Volunteer
to read for blind
Looking for an opportunity to help the blind or print-disabled receive local news? Become a volunteer with Central Minnesota Audio Newspapers and read newspapers over a closed radio network which is part of the Radio Talking Book Network. Read one or two evenings a month. The schedule is flexible. A one-year commitment is desired. Volunteers must pass an oral reading test. Contact Rita at 320-293-2273 or ritawoeste@gmail.com.

Tri-Cap seeks drivers
Tri-CAP volunteer drivers provide much-needed transportation for passengers going to medical appointments, family visitations, and other essential needs in and around communities of Central Minnesota. Tri-CAP Volunteer drivers use their vehicles, determine their schedules, and are paid a mileage reimbursement at the federal IRS rate (2024 $.67/mile). Long-distance and short trips are available. Drivers choose the distance and area they will travel. Very flexible schedule. Our volunteers say helping people gives them a good feeling. If you are interested in experiencing that “good feeling” call Tri-CAP at 320-251-1612 or visit https://tricap.org/volunteer/.
