Change a child’s life in Central Minnesota
Big Brothers Big Sisters has been serving Central Minnesota since 1969 and is an affiliate of Big Brothers Big Sisters of America. Its mission is to create and support one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth, and their vision is to help all youth achieve their full potential.
Mentors in the Community-Based Program provide friendship, support and hope to young people with whom they are matched. This is a one-on-one volunteer opportunity to provide friendship and guidance to a child in Central Minnesota.
The volunteer Bigs meet with their Little two to three times a month for at least 12 months. Matches can go to the movies, go fishing, do arts and crafts, read together – whatever they enjoy doing.
BBBS staff also plan two to three activities per month that matches can attend on top of their outings in the community. Contact 320-253-1616 or tasha@bigdefenders.org to learn more!
