Jan. 2
8:30 p.m. Traffic stop. 11th Avenue NE. An officer witnessed a delivery vehicle without working taillights. The officer stopped the driver and investigated. The driver was having multiple issues with the vehicle. The officer advised the driver to activate the hazard lights and to get the vehicle back as safe ly as possible.
Jan. 3
12:45 p.m. Suspicious person. 10th Street S. Officers were called to a residence about an individual walking around taking pictures of a house. Officers arrived and interviewed the individual. The individual was new to the country and was photographing local wildlife.
Jan. 4
7 p.m. Traffic stop. Seventh Avenue N. Officers were dispatched for a driving complaint. Officers conducted a field sobriety test on the driver and arrested them for DWI. Individual was transported to Stearns County Jail.
Jan. 5
2:25 a.m. Vehicle pursuit. Second Street S. An officer witnessed a vehicle fail to dim its headlights for oncoming traffic. When the officer tried to make a traffic stop, the driver fled. The vehicle stopped in a driveway and the driver attempted to flee on foot but was apprehended. Individual was arrested and transported to Stearns County Jail.
Jan. 6
11:10 p.m. Domestic. Bridgeport Drive. Officers were dispatched for an individual threatening a person they were in a relationship with. Officers arrived to interview the individual and they became combative. Officers arrested the individual and transported them to Stearns County Jail.
Jan. 7
12:40 a.m. Trespass. CR 120. An officer went to a business to deal with an individual who had trespassed previously. The individual stated they were aware of the trespass but went to the business anyway. The officer issued the citation for the trespass and released the individual.
Jan. 8
5:40 p.m. Theft. CR 120. An individual had been caught stealing from a business. The individual was issued a citation for the theft and a trespass from the store. The individual was released.
