The St. Joseph Y2K Lions sponsored Joe and Shirley Miller as the Senior King and Queen in the St. Joseph 4th of July parade.
Three St Joseph students were recently named to the honor list at Minnesota State University, Mankato.
They are sophomores Aren Gerads and Breanna LaRue and senior Tanner Walsh.
Students earned a grade-point average of 3.5 to 3.99 to qualify.
Aaron Goerger of St. Joseph was recently named to the president’s roll of honor at the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks. He earned a grade-point average of 3.8 or higher to qualify for the honor.
Kathryn Evenson of St. Joseph is a recipient of the Dik Munson Art Award from the University of Minnesota, Morris. The award is presented to outstanding first- and second-year studio art students demonstrating creative potential in future discipline course work. This award is intended for purchase of materials and supplies for the recipients artwork and experimentation with new media.
Maryanna Kroska of St. Joseph is a recipient of the Bos Undergraduate Research Award from the University of Minnesota, Morris. This fund was established to enhance the successful undergraduate research experiences of UMM students. Funds are made available to cover expenses for travel, conference registration and other costs associated with the pursuit of undergraduate research opportunities.
Chelsea Christman of St. Joseph recently received the James B. Anderson English Scholarship from St. Cloud State University. Established in 2001, this scholarship was created to honor James B. Anderson who was a professor in the English department. This award is intended for declared English majors with a minimum grade-point average of 3.5. Christman, a senior at SCSU, received $1,500.
Robert Roseland of St. Joseph recently earned his bachelor’s degree in physical education: exercise from the University of Wisconsin-Superior.
Alex Generous of St. Joseph was recently named to the spring president’s list at Drake University, Des Moines, Iowa. Students must have a perfect 4.0 grade-point average to receive this honor.
Fifteen St. Joseph students recently graduated from St. Cloud State University.
