Kendra Raths of Sartell recently earned a Doctor of Optometry degree from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tenn. Raths graduated magna cum laude and was named a member of Beta Sigma Kappa, an honor awarded to students who demonstrate exceptional academic achievement. She was also class secretary. Raths is the daughter of Renee and Chris Raths and the granddaughter of Barb and Don Raths and Carol and Raymond Wilczek. Raths is a graduate of Sartell High School and the University of Minnesota Morris.
Six Sartell students were recently named to the spring dean’s list at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. They are the following: Allie Engle, Cali Keller, Meleah Myhrwold, Dalton Notsch, Greta Overlien and Evan Templin.

Deerwood Bank recently announced the hiring of Jim Arnold as a real estate lender for its Waite Park location. A native of Cold Spring, Arnold holds a business degree from St. Cloud State University.
Sartell 14UAAA Baseball team recently won the 2023 Sabres Classic on June 18. From June 16-18, Sartell and Sauk Rapids were host to 22 AA teams and 6 AAA teams from across the state. The Sabres went 4-1 on the weekend. Lost their first game Saturday morning vs Pierz by a score of 9-6. Won 6-4 Saturday night vs Cambridge-Isanti. Won first game Sunday morning 8-6 vs Foley. Beat Alexandria 16-9 in semifinals. Took home the Championship on Sunday vs Pierz by a score of 10-7.

Noah Bostic of Sartell, was named to the spring president’s honor roll at Bemidji (Minn.) State University. To be eligible, students must earn a minimim 4.0 grade-point average.

The Faith Community Nurses of Central Minnesota and guests gathered May 9 at the St. Cloud Hospital Chapel for a service of prayer and blessing of the hands in honor of Nurses Day 2023. Some of the Faith Community Nurses in attendance were Bev Wiehoff and Julie Kouba, both from Sartell.
