July 4
11:45 p.m. Fireworks complaint. Bridgeport Drive. Officers were dispatched to a fireworks complaint in the area. The caller said the fireworks were going off behind their house. Officer found evidence of fireworks along 10th Street S., however no one was around. The officer continued to check the area and came across a group on Jasmine Drive. They told the officer they were done and cleaning up.

July 5
11:50 a.m. Crash. Le Sauk Drive/Evergreen Drive. Officers were flagged by a passing motorist that an accident had just occurred at the roundabout. A Nissan Titan was heading north on CR 1 and was in the roundabout ready to exit onto Heritage Drive, when the vehicle in front didn’t stop and the two vehicles collided. The driver of the second vehicle admitted to failing to yield to the other vehicle in the roundabout. No one was hurt and both vehicles were towed.

July 6
7:36 p.m. Suspicious person. Roberts Road. A caller reported a man in his 30s sitting at the playground with his dog. The caller thought the man may be recording kids while at the park. The complainant stated the man will leave if approached by someone there. The caller wanted the department to be aware of the activity.

July 7
2:11 p.m. Citizen contact. Brianna Drive. While on patrol, officers saw a child biking down the middle of the lane while vehicles were approaching. The child was weaving all over the lane and not paying attention. The officer stopped the child and told them what they were doing was dangerous and they could get hit by a vehicle. The officer helped the child get to where they were going safely.

July 8
11 p.m. Intoxicated person. Officers were dispatched for a medical call for a highly intoxicated person. Officers made contact with the man’s friends who said no one else would be home for the night and they didn’t want to leave him. Officers monitored the man until Mayo Ambulance arrived on scene. He was taken to hospital for further evaluation.

July 9
12:20 a.m. Traffic stop. Pinecone Road. Officers stopped a vehicle for speeding. Officers ran the vehicle’s license plate to find the registration was expired. The officer spoke to the driver who knew the registration was expired. The driver was issued a citation for the expired registration.

July 10
11:37 p.m. Noise complaint. Seventh Avenue S. Officers were dispatched for a noise complaint. The caller stated their neighbor had been playing loud music and it was causing his walls to shake. Officers spoke with the neighbor who said they did not have music up. Officers heard nothing and cleared. A short time later, the caller called back stating the neighbor was again playing loud music. The officer arrived back on scene and listened to see if they could hear music in the halls and outside but did not hear any. The officer spoke with the complainant about their findings and cleared.
