June 9
4:15 p.m. Collision. CR 120 roundabout. Two vehicles collided in the roundabout. There were no injuries and the vehicles received minor damage.
June 10
3:30 p.m. Tree in the road. 600 block Riverside Drive. A large evergreen tree fell onto road. Officers alerted city maintenance who came and moved the tree and debris off the street. Officers diverted traffic around the hazard until the road was cleared.
June 11
3:15 p.m. Raccoon. 900 block Morningstar Court. A raccoon was seen in an area where children play, raising a safety concern. An officer found a baby raccoon. A wildlife animal expert was called and advised to leave the animal alone, allowing the mother raccoon to retrieve it.
June 12
Noon. Person with a gun. Business on CR 120. A man entered a store displaying a gun. An officer detained the man, collected the gun and unloaded it. The gun was taken as evidence and charges are pending for carrying a weapon without a permit.
June 13
12:45 a.m. Unconscious woman. 100 Second St. S. A caller reported an unconscious woman because of an alcohol overdose. The officers assisted loading her into an ambulance.
June 14
10:45 p.m. Car trouble. Hwy. 15 and CR 120. A motorist experienced car trouble. The officer stood by with lights for safety until a tow truck arrived.
June 15
3:30 p.m. Fraud. An officer met with a person at the police department who reported receiving information in the mail indicating someone applying for unemployment benefits using the person’s name.
