The Minnesota State High School League needs officials and judges for all sports.

If you’re interested, the league has organized an online recruitment forum via Zoom from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday June 23.

During the forum, longtime official Mike Spanier of Sartell will share his experiences. Spanier will talk about the many rewards, challenges and experiences that kept him returning each year for more than 10 years as a Big Ten basketball official and 21 years officiating at  National Football League games.

League officials will talk about next steps to becoming an official including how to get started, how games are assigned and how to manage officiating with work and family life.

There will be opportunities to ask questions about officiating and you will be provided with connections to associations and mentors who can get you started.
