Construction will begin soon on a 17-unit residential and retail complex on College Avenue North.
Developers of 24 North Lofts announced Tuesday, March 6, that after four years of planning, the project will soon be a reality.
Partners Jon Petters and Dr. Gustavo Peña announced in a press release that financing and the construction contract are settled. The project is adjacent to their existing Mill Stream Shops and Lofts.
The rental lofts are designed by Patrick Waddick and each unit will have a west- or south-facing balcony or patio and a fireplace. There will be garages, off-street parking and a private dog-walking area.
Adjacent to the rental units, there will be a 3,900-square-foot retail or restaurant space for lease with additional space available in a historic building that is being restored adjacent to the main site.
The developers planned a ceremonial groundbreaking for Wednesday, March 7, with completion set for fall 2018.
