Michael Rivard of Sartell has been named the new assistant superintendent of elementary education for St. Cloud Area School District 742. Rivard has served District 742 since 1995 as a social worker, special education supervisor, assistant principal and principal, bringing a depth of knowledge of the district and community to the position. He currently is principal of Oak Hill Elementary School in St. Cloud.
Aidan Forberg of Sartell who is attending Mankato State University is the recipient of the Risebio scholarship program of $7,500 and high honor scholarship award for $30,000.
Katie Cashman, daughter of Jeannie and Dave Cashman, Sartell, recently graduated with honors and received a bachelor’s degree in nursing from St. Cloud State University. The pinning ceremony was held May 6; graduation was on May 7. Cashman has accepted an RN position in the ICU Department at St. Cloud Hospital. She will take her nursing boards in June. Cashman has worked throughout her college years as a Certified Nursing Assistant, the last two years in the ICU Department at St. Cloud Hospital. She is a 2017 graduate of Sartell High School.

Amlan Ram of Sartell completed a master’s degree in project management at the University of the Cumberlands in Williamsburg, Kentucky.

Dr. Mark Thibault joins St. Cloud Orthopedics as a full-time spine specialist offering non-surgical spine care from the approach of specialized exercise therapy. This type of care seeks to avoid surgery, and instead helps spine patients improve functionality and lessen pain using a customized and highly supervised fitness plan. St. Cloud Orthopedics has been serving Central Minnesota for more than 65 years and provides urgent orthopedic injury care at OrthoDirect at their Sartell and South St. Cloud clinic locations.
Jon Ruis, Shantelle Kane and Shannon Wiger have joined the Sartell-St. Stephen Education Foundation board of directors. Ruis currently serves as the director of strategy and business development for Quinlivan & Hughes, P.A. Kane currently works for Lucas James Talent Partners as a senior talent acquisition consultant. Wiger is business development director at Moss and Barnett.
