All new events at the Apple Duathlon

This is also the inaugural year for three new events being added to the duathlon. An indoor/outdoor triathlon (including a pool swim and an outdoor bike and run), a relay marathon and a cycling team time trial has been added to the lineup. The Apple will also move its location down the road to the new Sartell High School on Pinecone Road N. Events start at 7 a.m. and end by 11:30 a.m. There will be no road closures for this event, so please use caution when traveling through this part of town on Sunday morning. Flyover set May 29
The Sartell High School Track Team will host the preliminaries of the Section 8AAA track meet on Wednesday, May 29. This will consist of teams ranging from St. Michael to Moorhead to Bemidji with stands packed with parents, fans, friends and future athletes! In honor of our service members and Memorial Day, the 133rd Airlift Wing will perform an official military fly-over with U.S. Air Force C-130s to take place before the track meet during the national anthem at 3:20 p.m. This is the first time the City of Sartell has ever had an official fly-over for any event. The 133rd Airlift Wing has a long history in the State of Minnesota and has recently celebrated more than 100 years of aviation service.
Fix it so we can give it!
Connectability receives donated durable medical equipment. The equipment needs to be cleaned and often minor repairs to get in the best shape to donate to a person or family that needs it, at no cost! This can include walkers that need new feet, wheelchairs that need replaced armrests or new wheels, power chairs that need batteries replaced and rollators that need new breaks. Duct tape removed from everything! We do live in Minnesota and that seems to be the answer to all things broken. Contact Amanda Brunotee at 320-253-0765 or hello@connectabilitymn.org.
Plant a garden and help the food shelf!
Consider planting an extra row in your garden and donating the produce to your local food shelf. Favorites include carrots, beans, beets, kohlrabi, corn, potatoes, cabbage, peppers, onions and asparagus. Any vegetable product that has a longer shelf life is accepted. This is an easy way to help our food shelves during the summer and fall.
