March 29
6:57 a.m. Medical/ambulance assist. High Drive. An officer was dispatched for a medical emergency. An elderly woman who had recent surgery was reported to be bleeding. The officer arrived and assisted Gold Cross Ambulance, then left once making sure Gold Cross had the situation under control.
8:15 a.m. Traffic accident. Benton Drive N/First Street N. Officers were dispatched to an accident and observed a vehicle with severe front-end damage. A driver reported she was traveling straight when the other vehicle turned left in front of her and she struck the rear passenger side. The other driver reported a vehicle stopped in the inside lane had waved her across; she proceeded with the turn and did not see the first vehicle. A Gold Cross Ambulance was called and transported the first driver to the hospital. Accident reports were completed.
9:38 a.m. Harassing or threatening phone calls. Benton Drive N. A female reported a male calling her business to say nonsensical things on the recorder. The male was known to be mentally ill. The female simply wanted the police department to be aware of this. She was told to call the department if she needed any further help.
3:27 p.m. Traffic/driving complaint. Police reported to where trucks were allegedly racing or going to race. No vehicles matching this complaint were found.
4:26 p.m. Theft. A driver left a gas station without paying for fuel. Officers were able to trace the license plate and contact this driver. The matter was resolved with the driver and gas station; the gas station’s owner reported the driver had paid with cash but the employees had gotten mixed up.
March 30
7:58 a.m. Domestic dispute. 13th Street N. Authorities responded to a domestic in progress. Upon arrival, they determined the involved parties were just having an argument and the domestic was verbal only. The involved parties were advised to call the department if they needed anything else.
5:59 p.m. Traffic/driving complaint. Half Street S./Eighth Avenue S. An officer was told to call a resident, who reported people do not obey stop signs in the area during the morning and at the end of the school day. Extra patrol was requested during those times.
March 31
8:30 a.m. Animal complaint. Eighth Avenue N. Residents brought a found dog to the police department. The owner had called dispatch and was able to come collect his dog.
1:13 p.m. Disturbance. Second Avenue S. An officer was dispatched for a report of two clients arguing. Upon arrival, he spoke with the caller, who stated the other man involved had been yelling at him. The former had called so things did not escalate. The argument was resolved.
5:31 p.m. Found property. Benton Drive N. A man reported he had been having issues with his neighbor for the past year and the neighbor threatened to harm him or kill him in the past. He reported none of the threats have been recent. He also reported he found an unspent shell on the sidewalk near the front of his residence. An officer collected the casing.
6:36 p.m. Hit-and-run accident. A woman reported a hit-and-run on her vehicle, stating when she exited a local business, there was a large scrape on her vehicle from her tail light to her driver’s side mirror. Authorities took down her information.
10:56 p.m. Domestic dispute. Benton Drive N. Officers arrived for a domestic in process. Upon arrival, one of the people involved explained he and the other involved party got into a verbal dispute and the second party ripped the door off his trailer. The second person was located and stated an argument with her boyfriend had gotten out of hand. The first party wanted the second out of his trailer and did not wish to press charges. The second party was transported to her daughter’s residence.
April 27
3:03 p.m. Vehicle accident. Ninth Avenue N./Northway Drive, St. Cloud. A vehicle made a left turn and struck another vehicle. The driver was cited for failing to yield right-of-way. The driver of the other vehicle, from Sauk Rapids, was cited for driving after suspension. Both were transported to the emergency room by Gold Cross Ambulance.
