Roger and Jan Farley, Sartell
As 40-year residents of Sartell who have had children and a grandchild graduate from Sartell and another grandson now in the high school, this is the first time we have seen the school board in such deep turmoil.
The election this year is probably the most important in school history. Because of the problems that have developed in the last year or so, it is vital the people of District 748 choose new board members with experience and a passion for the district and the students.
Michelle Meyer has these qualities. Michelle has the experience of serving two consecutive terms on the school board (2000-2008). In the past 23 years she has held numerous positions in the school system such as teacher, coach, para-professional, and while on the school board served as treasurer, clerk, vice-chair and twice as chairperson.
Michelle has strong leadership capabilities and the passion to keep Sartell-St. Stephen a top-ranked school system. Two of Michelle and husband Gordy’s children graduated from Sartell High School and two are now in the school system.
With Michelle Meyer’s outstanding experience and past record on the Sartell-St. Stephen School Board, we encourage all to vote for her Nov. 6.
