Can you imagine an Alice in Wonderland of the 21st Century equipped with a cell phone, connected to social media and practically addicted to texting?
Well, meet the updated “modern” Alice as portrayed in “Alice @ Wonderland,” written by Jonathan Yukich (teacher/playwright from New Haven, Conn.) It is a fun, wacky play that will be performed at Sartell Middle School’s Performing Arts Center starting Nov. 9.
Show times are 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday, Nov. 9-10; and 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 11.
Directed by Brooklyn Riggs, the play’s admission cost is $5 for adults, free for students.
Alice @ Wonderland includes all the familiar characters of the classic book written in … by English author Lewis Carroll: the White Rabbit, the Mad Hatter, the Queen of Hearts, the Cheshire Cat and more.
The play has been described as “a sharply told, crisply paced ride, a production praised for its humor, modern style and appeal to both children and adults.”
