Snow or no snow, the winter no-parking law is now in effect in Sartell.
City ordinance prohibits parking on any street, alley or thoroughfare between the hours of 1 and 7 a.m. during November through March.
Any vehicles parked in those areas at those times may be ticketed and towed, with resultant expenses to be paid by the owner.
“We would ask that homeowners and renters within the city inform guests and family members who may be staying or visiting at your home about the winter parking rules,” said Police Chief Jim Hughes.
Reminders are also put on the electronic bulletin board, city website and new-resident packets, and signs are posted at the entrances to the city limits. The fine for violating the ordinance is $25, with a $5 increase if not paid within seven days.
