All Saints sets October workathon
The 33rd annual All Saints Academy Workathon will be held Saturday, Oct. 29. Staff, students and parents will volunteer their time to assist the elderly and disabled residents of the St. Joseph community. Volunteers will rake leaves, clear gardens, sweep sidewalks and other jobs for those who need help. If you have a job you would like done by these volunteers, or if you would like to make a donation, please contact the school office at 363-7505, ext. 150.

Fire department to host safety fair today
The St. Joseph Fire Department is hosting a safety fair from 4-7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 14 at the St. Joseph Community Fire Hall, 323 Fourth Ave. N.E. Highlights include fire, police and ambulance equipment displays, an appearance by the North Memorial Air Care Helicopter, inflatable gyms for the kids, safety tips and handouts, and free hot dogs and beverages. The safety fair has fun for the whole family!

League, City of Sartell to host Oct. 17 candidate forum
The Sartell Area Chamber of Commerce and the League of Women Voters-St. Cloud Area, are co-sponsoring a candidate forum at 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 17 in the Sartell City Council Chamber, 125 Pinecone Road N. The forum will feature four candidates running for two open seats on the Sartell City Council: Ryan Fitzthum, Timothy Held, Mike Chisum and Ryan Golombecki Sr.
The forum is free and open to the public. Attendees will have an opportunity to hear the candidates address issues of concern to Sartell voters. Questions will be invited from the audience in written form, and the League of Women Voters will provide a moderator and timer to conduct the forum. Refreshments will be served after the forum, courtesy of the Sartell Area Chamber of Commerce.

A free French film festival (with English subtitles) will be held now through Nov. 13 at the College of St. Benedict and St. John’s University. Films include Cour de Babel at 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 17 at CSB; Mon Amie Victoria at 7:15 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 1 at SJU; Quai d’Orsay at 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 7 at CSB; and Bande de Filles at 7:15 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 13 at SJU. Collegeville Colors set Oct. 16; outdoor fun for all ages

County website offers update on construction
The new roundabout in Sartell is scheduled to open to traffic on Thursday, Oct. 13. Heritage Road and Evergreen Drive will also be opened to traffic. Lane closures will be in effect along CSAH 1 between Hwy 15 and LeSauk Drive for 3-4 days after the opening of the roundabout as crews close the median to LeSauk Drive. Access to local businesses from Hwy 15 will be available via CSAH 1 to the new roundabout and then use either Evergreen Drive or the right-in-right-out entrance to LeSauk Drive. Promise Neighborhood seeking gently used clothing
Promise Neighborhood of Central Minnesota is in need of gently used clothing for babies, kids and teens, boys and girls. Adult clothing of all sizes accepted if the styles are current, but the need for children’s clothing is greater. Clothing is either given to families in need or used for fundraising to put back into their youth mentoring, summer camp, youth night or family service programs. They will accept donations 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Monday-Thursday at Promise Neighborhood, 1114 Ninth Ave. SE, St Cloud. Other times and days available, please call to make arrangements.
