Senior Chief Petty Officer Joshua Vogel, a 1998 Apollo High School graduate from St. Joseph, is serving in the U.S. Navy with Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron 73 at Naval Station North Island in Coronado, Calif. Vogel is a naval aircrewman responsible for flying in helicopters that defend a carrier strike group. They operate the combat systems for anti-submarine and anti-surface warfare.
